Bring Out the Wolves

I am beginning to notice a trend of badass bands that have a heavy influence from our friend the Canis Lupus. Seriously, check it out.

Starting with the most obvious, Wolf Parade, they have a great sound and are direcly named after our furry friends. Listen to Shine a Light.

Next up, We Are Wolves, coming out of Montreal these three post-punks are slowly building up some serious street cred. Watch this video.

Bonnie "Prince" Billy & Matt Sweeney named an album after a "Superwolf" it is no "I See a Darkness" but it's quite good.

Then there are all those individual songs dedicated to the glorious Lupus.

Dead Prez "Wolves" from "Lets Get Free"
The Mountain Goats "Up the Wolves" from "The Sunset Tree"
Buck 65 "Blood of a Young Wolf" from "Secret House Against The World"
Cat Power "Werewolf" from "You Are Free"
The Fiery Furnaces "Wolfnotes" from "Blueberry Boat"
Radiohead "Wolf at the Door" from "Hail to the Thief"

I am sure there are many more songs and other bands influenced by Mr. Canis, but I do not feel like nor have the time to search from them. "OWWWWW!!!"

Arrested Development Receives Death Penalty

Apparently Arrested Development is being given the axe. That is a shame in my opinion, just because the American public is more focused on the excellent reality shows (Blah) and awesome dramas (Err?) that seem to be taking over the air, there is a need for show such as Arrested Development. They may have a small fan base but it's a devoted one, look at the reviews they are prefect. This is unfortunate because it is one of the best shows on TV right now (next to The Daily Show, Family Guy, and Scrubs), perhaps they will pull an other Family Guy and realize that they have made a huge mistake and bring it back in a few years. Oh well, just sign the damn petition.
